M.U.S.E. News --- June 2010
 
M.U.S.E. is alive and well. We've given two grants in the past several months with some of the funds raised from our MUSE CD sales. One was a 2nd grant to the Center for Biological Diversity to continue their ongoing efforts to get the American Pika listed on the Endangered Species list.  The other grant went to Footloose Montana to aid them in their work to limit trapping on public lands in Montana.
 
Nearly 99% of our funds come from the sale of the three MUSE compilation cds and t-shirts.  We have no formal membership, but, YES, you can you help us. Please support our M.U.S.E. grants program by purchasing one of our superb compilation recordings or a M.U.S.E. t-shirt. Buy one for a friend and help support wilderness and wildlife protection efforts at the same time! We also encourage you to visit the websites of our musician contributors. Please support these musicians who sing out so much for this good Earth.  
 
M.U.S.E. is starting to gather songs for our fourth compilation cd. This next collection of songs from a variety of artists will be celebrating our feathered friends: songs about birds. I you have any songs or have suggestions of songwriters we should contact for this album please drop us a note.
 
Speaking of doing something...please take a moment and write to your Senators about the Climate and Energy Bill. We need visionary leadership as we deal with climate change and it's impacts. Encourage them to invest heavily in solar and wind. If we had solar panels on just half the homes in America it would supply all of our country's electrical needs.  Let's let them know that we expect some leadership on this.
