The musicians of MUSE represent hundreds of recordings, reams of poetry, and decades at the forefront of eco-activism and awareness. Their activities include working on the faculty of the Institute for Deep Ecology; crewing on the Clearwater and Sea Shepherd; creating benefit CDs for Arctic conservation and California coastal habitat; and performing in hundreds of Earth-oriented celebrations and actions.
The environmental awards received by this group are many, including an Outstanding Achievement Award from the Environmental Protection Agency, and Award of Excellence from the United Nations Environment Program.
